Ford Dishes On Features and Power For the 2018 Mustang GT

The wait payed off. Now, we know just how powerful the 2018 Ford Mustang GT will be, and what equipment would be offered. True to form, it’s the most powerful yet: the Coyote V8 has been retuned for 460 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque, and will come with a six-speed manual transmission. But there are ways to put that muscle to better use, and even make it quieter, if you so choose.

Every Mustang GT has available Active Valve Performance Exhaust, which has a mode to lower exhaust note noise to 72 decibels—about as loud as your average dishwasher. That’ll make you many friends, especially in quieter areas. But when you want to drive the car to its limits, equipping the ten-speed automatic, GT Performance Package, and MagneRide Damping will drop your 0-60 sprint under the four second mark, while giving the car more bite in corners. For better audio, and the 12-inch LCD instrument display, equip the Shaker Pro Audio System available on Premium-level vehicles.

But those are just some of the many ways to get the most out of your new Mustang. To learn about all the available options, contact our Ford dealership in Lemoyne, PA. We can help you configure your model to perfection before it arrives in the fall.
