What's New on the 2023 Ford F-150?
An off-road-focused Rattler trim has been added to the Ford F-150 lineup for the latest model year. It adds a dual exhaust system, special 18-inch wheels, hill-descent control, an off-road suspension system and a locking rear differential. The Rattler provides a more affordable option for buyers from Harrisburg and Camp Hill, PA if you're not ready for the higher price of the Tremor or Raptor trim.
Engines and Performance
As you can see, the Ford F-150 is available with an impressive choice of powerful engines. You can get a 3.3-liter V6 that generates 290 horsepower, a 5.0-liter V8 engine with 400 horsepower, a 2.7-liter V6 engine with 325 horsepower, a 3.5-liter V6 engine with 400 horsepower and a 3.0-liter diesel V6 with 250 horsepower and a lot of torque.
Every trim level of the Ford F-150 comes with a 10-speed automatic and for the first time, a hybrid powertrain is offered, creating 400 horsepower. According to Ford, the hybrid model will give you up to 700 miles of driving range with a single tank of gas and it can also supply power to an onboard generator that can keep power flowing at your job site or even at your home if your residential power goes out.
Towing and Payload Capacity
The new Ford F-150's 3.3-liter V6 engine can tow a maximum of 8,200 pounds. If you want to get the best towing capability that money can buy in a half-ton truck, select the twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 with 400 horsepower and it will pull as much as 14,000 pounds. That happens to be the best towing capability in the F-150's very competitive class. Payload capacity ranges from 1,840 pounds to 3,250 pounds.

New Ford F-150 Trim Levels
The new Ford F-150 offers buyers from Mechanicsburg and New Cumberland, PA a total of nine trims to choose from:
- Ford F-150 XL
- Ford F-150 XLT
- Ford F-150 Rattler
- Ford F-150 Lariat
- Ford F-150 King Ranch
- Ford F-150 Platinum
- Ford F-150 Limited

- Ford F-150 Raptor
The base-level XL trim comes with three cab choices and three bed lengths along with a standard 3.3-liter V6 engine. The XLT offers the same choice in cabs, bed lengths and engines while offering a standard blind-spot monitoring system. The Lariat trim comes with an eight-speaker Bang & Olufsen stereo system and offers available wireless device charging. The King Ranch comes only with the SuperCrew cab and a 5.0-liter V8 engine along with embroidered leather upholstery.
The F-150 Platinum offers you a choice of a 5.0-liter V8 engine or an optional hybrid powertrain with a turbo V6. Massaging front seats come standard and a Bang & Olufsen 18-speaker stereo is available. The Ford F-150 Limited has a high-output turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 with 450 horsepower as well as B.F. Goodrich all-terrain tires. The F-150 Tremor offers a choice of a 5.0-liter V8 or a turbo 3.5 liter V6 along with off-road suspension. Finally, the Ford F-150 Raptor comes with a Hi-Lock transfer case and Fox Racing Shox.
